- Cleaning products are selected and inspected for quality and suitability
- Hazards associated with the work are identified and risks are managed
- Tools and equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE), are identified and inspected for serviceability
- Work is planned to identify cleaning methods, minimise waste, and prevent damage to vehicle
- Wash and clean vehicle
- Vehicle body exterior is washed and cleaned according to workplace procedures and customer requirements
- Vehicle openings, bonnet surrounds, and sill panels are washed and cleaned according to workplace procedures and customer requirements
- Equipment and cleaning and protection products are used according to vehicle manufacturer recommendations, workplace procedures, and safety and environmental requirements
- Washing and cleaning are completed according to workplace procedures and environmental requirements, and without causing damage to vehicle electrical and fuel components
- Complete work processes
- Final inspection is made to ensure work meets workplace expectations and vehicle is presented ready for use
- Work area is cleaned, waste and non-recyclable materials are disposed of, and recyclable material is collected and stored
- Tools and equipment are checked, reported if faulty, and stored according to workplace procedures
- Workplace documentation is processed according to workplace procedures
